Referral and promotion terms
How referral credit and promotional rates work, and what they are not.
Referral credit
A referral credit is a discount applied to a future order. It is not money, it cannot be withdrawn, and it cannot be transferred to another user.
Credit is earned when the person referred completes a qualifying order, not when they sign up and not when they pay. An order that is refunded does not earn credit.
A qualifying order must meet the minimum order value published with the programme.
Limits
There is a cap on how much credit one person can earn from referrals. Once reached, further referrals earn nothing, and the person is told why.
Credit expires 365 days after it is issued.
Credit cannot reduce an order below a small remaining amount payable, so every order carries a real payment.
What is not allowed
Referring yourself, referring accounts you control, and creating accounts to earn credit are all prohibited. So is advertising a referral link as a discount code on coupon sites without permission.
Where credit is earned through prohibited activity it is removed, and the accounts involved may be closed.
Promotional seller rates
A founding-seller or similar programme may reduce or waive commission for a limited number of sellers for a fixed period.
A seat in such a programme is claimed on approval and is not transferable. Seats are limited and are not released once claimed.
A promotional rate is temporary. When it ends, the seller returns to the published rate for their category and level.
A promotional cap never raises a rate. Where the cap is higher than the rate a seller already pays, the lower rate applies.
Changing or ending a programme
We may change or end a promotion or referral programme at any time. Credit already earned and promotional periods already running are honoured on the terms they were granted under.
Where a programme is switched off, referrals already pending are not retroactively rejected.
